Tianjin Northern Shaolin Temple, located in the middle of Panshan Mount, was built during the Wei-Jin dynasties. Panshan Northern Shaolin Temple is the only affiliated one named “Shaolin Temple” of the “Five Shaolin temples” set by Chan master Xueting Fuyu in the Yuan Dynasty, then named Norther Shaolin Temple by Emperor Renzong of the Yuan Dynasty. The present Northern Shaolin Temple is simple, solemn and magnificent.
