Yishan Zhu Stele

Yishan Zhu Stele during the Ming Dynasty

The stele was carved in the early Qing Dynasty, 1.9 meters tall and 0.85 meters wide. There are bamboos caved on the stele and painted by Yishan, a known painter in the early Qing Dynasty and a Shaolin monk. Note: Yishan, a famous painter, who became a Shaolin monk at the age of 50, was especially good at painting bamboo and orchid.
