On Feb 17, 2018, the second day of the first lunar month, Shaolin monks came to Shaolin Charity House, lighted candles, sang birthday song and shared the cake together with students to celebrat the group birthdays for them.
Shaolin Charity House is a non-profit private charity that the Abbot of Shaolin Temple Shi Yongxin aspired to donate and established in December 2004. It is the subproject of the “Thousands of Orphans Rescue” project jointly sponsored and organized by Shaolin Temple and Henan Provincial Charity Federation. For more than a decade, under the care of Shaolin Temple and all walks of life, hundreds of students learn cultural knowledge and participate in social activities. Dozens of students have come out to work, go to college and give back to society.
After becoming formal non-profit private charity, Shaolin Charity House has formulated effective procedures and regulations for rescue, working closely with all aspects of society, from the aspects of children’s life, learning and so on, to cultivate their healthy and upward ideal.
